At Pacifica Radio Archives, we preserve—and make available for research and reference use—our historic audio collection that consists of work generated by, or produced in association with, Pacifica Radio.
This site is a gateway. Whether you're a listener, researcher, scholar or broadcaster, you'll find valuable information here.
Site Highlights
- Preservation Projects highlights the innovative ways we protect and advance public access to our historic resources, through restored audio, radio documentaries, program transcripts, historic Folios, technical reports, our 1968 Revolution Rewind project, and more.
- The Browse & Buy section is a comprehensive listing of Pacifica programs: series such as "Democracy Now!" and specials from the last fifty years of Pacifica history. You can place an order for a tape or CD from there, too.
- Search Our Collection lets you dip into our huge public access catalog that includes well over 40,000 programs. You can also get information on usage rights and fees.
- Life in the Archives gives you a glimpse into what we do. Meet us, see who supports our work, see some pictures, and more.
- In History of Pacifica you'll learn about Pacifica's role in airing alternative views of history. Find out what was broadcast on this day in years past, and see a timeline of Pacifica's life story.
